February 29, 2016 - Life Fitness, the global leader in fitness equipment manufacturing, has partnered with East Leake Leisure Centre as part of a major refurbishment programme of its fitness facilities and has created a fully connected gym for the local community.
The dual use site, operated on behalf of Rushcliffe Borough Council and managed by Carillion plc, features a 25m swimming pool, aerobics studio, sports halls and outdoor pitches along with a new fitness suite which was unveiled on 4th January.
The 145sqm community gym features 12 stations from the Life Fitness Insignia Series selectorised strength range, CV stations with the Explore console including FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer, plus a selection of free weights.
The introduction of connected fitness equipment has enabled members using the LFconnect app to enjoy personalised, interactive workouts and experience the latest in functional training with the new SYNRGY360T™ fitness system.
The installation of SYNRGY360T™ has provided a focal point for the gym and delivers a diverse range of one to one and small group training programmes. Members and personal trainers can access two unique training spaces, occupying a relatively small floor space, which create a compact, diverse training environment with a focus on encouraging social interaction.
Stuart Radford, Operations Manager at East Leake Leisure Centre, says: “We’re thrilled with the high standard refurbishment and the addition of SYNRGY360 and Explore consoles has created an excitement amongst the membership which we are keen to build on.
“As a preferred supplier since 2003, the quality and specification offered by Life Fitness is second to none. Their expertise, coupled with the excellent level of service and training delivered by Life Fitness Master Trainer Rachel Glew, from the Life Fitness Academy, has helped create an outstanding leisure facility for the local community in East Leake.”
